Al Thani holds phone call with Jordanian Foreign Minister Safadi
Doha, July 28 (Hibya) - Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a phone call with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ayman Safadi to discuss regional developments.
According to a statement by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a telephone conversation with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ayman Safadi.
During the call, the two sides reviewed opportunities for bilateral cooperation as well as diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions and promoting stability.
The importance of all parties remaining committed to the principles of dialogue and diplomacy to preserve regional security was emphasized. The two sides also stressed the need to implement the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the United States and Iran and to ensure the continued security of freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
