Carney: Canada stands with Romania
Ottawa, May 29 (Hibya) - Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney condemned the Russian drone attack on the Romanian city of Galați that resulted in civilian injuries.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney emphasized that Canada stands in full solidarity with Romania.
Referring to the attack's impact on civilians and the risks it poses, Carney said: "Canada stands with Romania and strongly condemns Russia's reckless drone attack that injured two people in Galați last night. This is another escalation of Russia's unjust war of aggression against Ukraine."
Addressing the international legal dimension of the incident, Carney stated: "This incident constitutes a serious violation by Russia of Romania's airspace and international law."
Emphasizing the defensive readiness of allies, Carney concluded his statement as follows:
"Canada and our NATO allies remain ready to defend Allied territory."
