CENTCOM: Routes of 7 vessels altered under maritime blockade against Iran
Washington, July 20 (Hibya) – The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that, as of July 20, the routes of seven commercial vessels had been altered under the maritime blockade against Iran, while one vessel had been disabled to prevent it from entering or leaving Iranian ports.
CENTCOM reported that seven vessels had been disabled as part of the maritime blockade against Iran in order to prevent entry to or departure from Iranian ports.
In its statement, CENTCOM said that U.S. personnel aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD-4) supported day and night flight operations in the Gulf of Oman.
The statement added that enforcement of the maritime blockade continues and that efforts to prevent commercial vessels from entering or leaving Iranian ports remain ongoing.
