According to data from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck approximately 297 kilometers south-southwest of Bluff, New Zealand.
The earthquake was recorded on March 3, 2026, at 14:55 Türkiye time. The tremor occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, with its epicenter located at 48.99 degrees south latitude and 166.569 degrees east longitude.
According to initial reports, no statements have been made regarding any loss of life or property.
