Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha made a statement regarding the visit by United Nations (UN) representatives in Ukraine to the Sumy region.

In a post on his social media account, Sybiha thanked the UN representatives in Ukraine and those who contributed to organizing the visit.

Noting that visits to frontline areas require courage, Sybiha said such visits allow partners to directly witness the conditions faced by Ukrainian communities.

Head of the Sumy Regional Administration Oleh Hryhorov also shared a post about his meeting with UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine Matthias Schmale.

Hryhorov said the meeting addressed the support needed to strengthen energy independence and societal resilience during the winter period. He added that assistance for internally displaced persons was also discussed.
