The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that an attempted attack targeting military units operating in the Rakez Ramim area was thwarted.

According to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces, soldiers returned fire following an initial report of gunfire directed at forces in the area, and one attacker was neutralized.

The statement noted that no casualties were reported among Israeli forces, adding that the incident is ongoing and search operations in the area are continuing.

It was also reported that air force assets were deployed to support the operation and that coordination with local authorities is ongoing.
