Emphasizing the sea's strategic value for Italy, Meloni said, “The sea is much more than a border defining our country's geography. It is an inseparable part of our history, culture, and identity.”
Highlighting that Coast Guard personnel carry out vital duties every day, Meloni stated, “Thank you for your work, from ensuring navigation safety and protecting human life at sea to safeguarding the marine environment. I extend my best wishes to all of you.”
