Metsola: We stand with the Baltic States
Brussels, May 21 (Hibya) - European Parliament President Roberta Metsola stated that Russia's threats and provocations against the Baltic countries are unacceptable.
European Parliament President Roberta Metsola made a statement regarding Russia's activities in the region, the security of the Baltic States, and the EU's common defense posture.
Condemning Russia's actions, Metsola said, "Russia's intimidation and provocations against Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania are unacceptable and are increasing tensions in the region."
Clearly expressing support for the Baltic region, EP President Metsola stated, "We stand with the Baltic States. No member state should be threatened by Russia. The security of the Baltics is the security of Europe."
Emphasizing the EU's future strategic stance, Metsola concluded her statement by saying, "The EU must remain united, vigilant, and determined against Russia's attempts to destabilize its neighbors and undermine European security."
