Australia’s ASX 200 index rose 0.14 percent to 8,691.50 points. Japan’s Nikkei 225 index fell 1.35 percent to 64,989.17 points.
India’s Nifty 50 index declined 0.74 percent to 22,611.15 points, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index (HSI) dropped 0.63 percent to 24,486.52 points.
China’s Shanghai index rose 0.08 percent to 3,826.511 points.
