Oman's oil production rises by 10.6% in the first half of the year
Muscat, August 2 (Hibya) – Oil and natural gas production in Oman increased during the first six months of 2026 compared to the same period last year.
According to CCTV, oil and natural gas production in Oman increased during the first half of 2026 compared to the same period of the previous year.
Data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information showed that oil production rose by 10.6%, while natural gas production increased by 6.7%.
According to the data, Oman's total oil production increased from 179.05 million barrels in the first half of 2025 to 198.01 million barrels in the same period of 2026. Average daily oil production also rose from 989,200 barrels to 1.09 million barrels.
During the same period, the average selling price of Omani crude oil increased by 9.4% to reach USD 80.9 per barrel. Crude oil exports also rose by 2.4% to 155.22 million barrels.
Natural gas production also continued to grow. Total natural gas production, including domestic output and imports, increased from 27.69 billion cubic meters in the first half of 2025 to 29.54 billion cubic meters in the same period of 2026.
As a result, natural gas production recorded an annual increase of 6.7%.
