Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a message of condolence over the loss of life and destruction caused by the powerful earthquake in Colombia.

Sharif said in a statement on his social media account, “I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life and widespread destruction caused by the powerful earthquake in Colombia.”

On behalf of the people and government of Pakistan, Sharif extended his condolences to Colombian President Abelardo De La Espriella, the people of Colombia and the families who lost their loved ones, while also expressing solidarity with those injured in the earthquake and all those affected by the disaster.

Sharif said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured and all those affected by this tragedy.”

Stating that Pakistan stands with the Colombian people during these difficult times, Sharif said, “Pakistan stands in solidarity with the people of Colombia in these difficult hours.”
