Portugal extends condolences over the passing of former Qatari Emir Al Thani
Lisbon, July 15 (Hibya) - Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel visited the Qatari Embassy in Lisbon and signed the book of condolences following the passing of former Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel visited the Embassy of Qatar in Lisbon following the passing of former Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
During his visit, Rangel signed the book of condolences and conveyed Portugal's deepest sympathies to the people and government of Qatar, as well as to the family of the late Emir.
In a statement, the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of the bonds of friendship and solidarity between the two countries.
The statement also reaffirmed Portugal's commitment to maintaining its strong relations and mutual cooperation with Qatar.
