Prevot: We reaffirmed our shared determination with Merzoug
Brussels, July 15 (Hibya) - Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot met with Mauritanian Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Merzoug in Brussels to discuss economic cooperation, security, and regional developments.

In his statement, Prevot described Mauritania as a key country for its region and a valued partner of Belgium, saying, “Our discussions reaffirmed our shared determination to deepen our partnership even further.”
Prevot noted that investments in strategic port infrastructure offer new opportunities for economic cooperation and added that cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, and mining is also expanding.
Prevot also stated that they discussed the situation in the Sahel region, as well as issues related to security, migration, and humanitarian assistance.
