Ria Novosti: Kyiv spent more than half of 2024’s Western aid in the Kursk region
Moscow, April 10 (Hibya) – Russian news agency Ria Novosti claimed that Ukraine spent more than half of the Western aid it received in 2024 on the conflict it initiated in Russia’s Kursk region.
According to data from the Northern military group obtained by Ria Novosti, “During the ‘Kursk adventure,’ the Ukrainian army not only lost tens of thousands of soldiers but also spent over 27 billion US dollars.”
According to open sources, this amount exceeds half of the total $48 billion in foreign financial aid Ukraine received from Western countries in 2024.
The Northern group reported that losses in equipment and weapons provided by NATO countries were particularly noteworthy.
According to the agency, during the clashes in the Kursk region, Ukraine lost around 1,500 units of NATO equipment, with a total value of approximately $2.7 billion.
The agency's source claimed that experts are questioning the effectiveness of such large-scale operations given the high level of losses.
