Sanchez: The Spanish government condemns this unjust attack on religious freedom
Madrid, March 29 (Hibya) - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said they condemn Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for preventing Catholics, without any explanation, from celebrating the pre-Easter Sunday service at holy sites in Jerusalem.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez made a statement regarding restrictions on religious freedoms in Jerusalem and the rules of international law.
Pointing out that the obstruction was carried out without justification, Sanchez said: "Netanyahu prevented Catholics, without any explanation and without giving a reason, from celebrating the pre-Easter Sunday service at holy sites in Jerusalem."
Emphasizing the importance of religious freedoms, Sanchez said: "The Spanish government condemns this unjust attack on religious freedom and calls on Israel to respect religious diversity and international law."
Stating that tolerance is essential for social peace, Sanchez said: "Without tolerance, coexistence is impossible."
