Spajic: Montenegro continues intensive reforms in Chapter 27 of EU negotiations
Podgorica, April 29 (Hibya) – Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spajic announced that reform efforts in Chapter 27, one of the areas of negotiations with the European Union (EU), are continuing with Germany’s support.
Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spajic made assessments regarding his meeting with Germany’s Minister for the Environment and Nuclear Safety Karsten Schneider.
Referring to developments in the enlargement process, Spajic stated: “We agreed during the meeting that establishing a working group to prepare the Accession Agreement, a historic step in the enlargement process, accelerates our country’s integration.”
Emphasizing the priorities of the European agenda, Spajic said: “In this year, when we celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the restoration of independence and the thirty-fifth anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration proclaiming Montenegro an Ecological State, and as we chair the Berlin Process, we confirm that citizens’ quality of life, nature protection, and the green transition are at the center of our European agenda.”
Providing information on the scope of the work, Spajic stated: “Natura 2000, Solana, waste management are just some of the areas where we have made progress with expert support from Germany to ensure sustainable development and protect exceptional natural resources.”
