Sybiha: Ukraine requested action regarding the "PANORMITIS" vessel
Kyiv, April 29 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that an official request had been submitted to Israeli authorities through diplomatic and legal channels to seize the "PANORMITIS" vessel, which is alleged to be transporting grain illegally taken from territories occupied by Russia.
Responding to statements by the Israeli Foreign Ministry that "no evidence had been provided," Sybiha emphasized that the process is being carried out through official documents rather than social media.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said: "Ukraine has officially applied to Israel through diplomatic and legal channels to take action regarding the PANORMITIS vessel."
Providing details about the legal process, Sybiha stated: "The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has submitted a relevant request to Israeli authorities to detain the vessel, based on a decision by a Ukrainian court within the framework of the ongoing investigation."
Sybiha concluded: "The vessel is suspected of illegally transporting grain from a closed port in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories, in violation of international law and Ukrainian legislation."
