Tanzania and UN discuss reforms and global peace
New York, September 26 (Hibya) – Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania Deogratius Ndejembi discussed United Nations reforms, global peace and multilateral cooperation with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania Ndejembi met with UN Secretary-General Guterres at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, United States, on September 25, 2026.
During the meeting, Ndejembi praised Guterres’ leadership and said Tanzania would continue to support efforts to advance reforms within the United Nations.
Guterres, for his part, described Tanzania as an important partner of the United Nations and expressed appreciation for the country’s contributions to global peace and security.
During the meeting held on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the importance of continuing cooperation between Tanzania and the United Nations to advance reforms, peace, security and multilateral cooperation was emphasized.
