Moscow, May 16 (Hibya) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed the crisis in the Middle East and developments surrounding Iran during a phone call.
A phone call was held between Putin and Al Nahyan.
During the call, the crisis situation in the Middle East and developments surrounding Iran were discussed. The parties emphasized the importance of continuing the political and diplomatic process in resolving regional issues.
The leaders agreed on the need to support peaceful, consensus-based solutions that take into account the interests of all countries in the region.
It was also stated that satisfaction was expressed over the development of political and economic relations between Russia and the United Arab Emirates, and that the parties agreed to maintain regular contacts.
Putin also thanked the Emirati side for the support provided by the UAE on humanitarian issues related to Ukraine.
