Vance: Everyone deserves public safety, not just the wealthy
Washington, March 9 (Hibya) - United States (US) Vice President James David Vance emphasized in a speech to the International Association of Fire Fighters that public safety should be accessible to everyone.
United States Vice President James David Vance made a statement on public service and safety.
Stating that public safety is a right independent of social status, Vance said: “Everyone deserves public safety, not just the wealthy… and what I admire about the spirit of public service in this community is that each of you puts on the uniform and makes it possible for kids who, like me, did not grow up with a silver spoon in their mouth to have access to this critical public safety in their neighborhoods.”
Giving examples from his childhood, Vance said: “Several times I was one of those frightened little kids who had to call the fire department and emergency medical services.”
Expressing gratitude to the personnel who serve, Vance said: “We have backed up our pride, support and gratitude for you with very meaningful actions.”
