Zelensky: Russians launched about 430 drones of various types
Kyiv, March 14 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that damage assessment and rescue operations are continuing in the regions of Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro and Mykolaiv following the large-scale air attack carried out by Russia.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement regarding the attack carried out by Russia and the latest situation in the country.
Speaking about the impact of the attacks, Zelensky said: “Following Russia's major attack, efforts to deal with the situation continue in the regions of Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro and Mykolaiv. All necessary services have been mobilized. The main target of the Russians was the energy infrastructure of the Kyiv region, but unfortunately ordinary residential buildings, schools and civilian businesses were also directly hit and damaged.”
Zelensky also shared the technical details of the attack: “During the night the Russians launched about 430 drones of various types and a significant number of missiles. There were 13 ballistic missiles alone, and the total number of missiles in this attack was 68. According to preliminary data, 58 of them were intercepted by our air defense systems.”
Emphasizing that supply processes must be accelerated, Zelensky said: “No agreement on missile supply can wait — everything must be implemented as quickly as possible. Our agreements to increase the production of air defense missiles are a critical direction and require one hundred percent attention. Russia will try to use the war in the Middle East to cause even greater destruction in Europe, in Ukraine.”
