Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi stated that Sultan Haitham bin Tariq's official visit to China paved the way for a new phase of cooperation in relations between the two countries. He said the discussions and signed agreements reflected a shared commitment to strengthening partnerships in economic, scientific, industrial, technological and investment fields based on mutual benefit.

Albusaidi also noted that expanding opportunities for Chinese tourists and businesspeople was on the agenda, adding that consultations on regional and international issues revealed a convergence of views on important matters. Emphasizing the importance placed on respect for international law, multilateralism and sovereignty, Albusaidi thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chinese government for their hospitality.
