Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand extended her condolences to the Polish people following an armed attack in Krakow, Poland, that resulted in deaths and injuries.

Expressing her sorrow over the attack, Anand said, "I am deeply saddened by the armed attack in Krakow that caused deaths and injuries. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of those who lost their lives, to those who were injured and to all the people of Poland mourning during this difficult time."

Anand also stated that she had spoken with Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, saying, "I reached out to my Polish counterpart to convey Canada's solidarity with the Polish people during this extremely difficult time."
