Berendsen: Ukraine has bravely resisted Russian aggression
Amsterdam, March 31 (Hibya) – Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen said they appreciate Ukraine’s resilience against Russian aggression, which has continued for more than four years, and emphasized that the country must resolutely continue the necessary reforms in its European Union (EU) accession process.
Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen made a statement regarding Ukraine’s accession process and bilateral cooperation.
Referring to the struggle of the Ukrainian people, Berendsen said: “Ukraine has bravely resisted Russian aggression for more than four years. Under these difficult conditions, they must continue reforms on the path to EU membership.”
Underlining that standards in the process must be preserved, Minister Berendsen stated: “Nothing can be compromised, but the Netherlands is pleased to lend a helping hand along this path.”
