Budrys: Pressure on Russia has been taken to a new level
Vilnius, September 19 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys stated that the sanctions law against Russia and Iran, adopted by the U.S. Congress and signed by President Donald Trump, has entered into force.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys said in a statement that the entry into force of the 2026 Lindsey O. Graham Russia and Iran Sanctions Act has increased pressure on Russia.
Budrys stated that Russia's war machine, shadow fleet, banks and energy revenues will face a new level of pressure.
Budrys said that the European Union must also do its part, calling for the 22nd sanctions package to be implemented without delay and for more comprehensive measures to be prepared. He noted that acting with unity and determination would narrow the Kremlin's room for maneuver.
