Dutch Foreign Minister Berendsen spoke with his South Cypriot and Turkish counterparts
Berlin, March 6 (Hibya) - Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen held phone calls with South Cyprus Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos and Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
Dutch Foreign Minister Berendsen held telephone conversations regarding Iran’s attacks in the region as well as regional security issues with South Cyprus and Türkiye.
Berendsen stated that he spoke by phone with South Cyprus Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos and that they discussed the importance of maintaining stability and security in the Middle East and surrounding regions, as well as the issue of ensuring the safe return of stranded passengers to their countries.
Berendsen also noted that he held a conversation with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and said: “We emphasized the strong relations between the Netherlands and Türkiye.”
Berendsen also stated that following a ballistic missile fired from Iran toward Turkish airspace, he conveyed a message of solidarity with Türkiye, saying: “I expressed my solidarity with our NATO ally Türkiye.”
