EU targets companies linked to Russia's war effort
Brussels, October 25 (Hibya) - The European Union (EU) has expanded its sanctions list in response to Russia's attacks on Ukraine. The EU drew attention to the civilians killed and injured in Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
The European External Action Service (EEAS) reported that Russia's attacks on Ukraine have caused civilian casualties and widespread destruction in cities.
In a post, the EEAS stated that more than 400 civilians are killed or injured in Ukraine each week. The post emphasized that Russia's attacks are reducing Ukrainian cities to ruins and negatively affecting people's lives.
The statement noted that the European Union adopted its largest sanctions list to date in October. It said the sanctions target companies and individuals linked to Russia's war effort.
