Israeli President Isaac Herzog said that last night he stood beside the remains of the Temple that was destroyed because of baseless hatred.

Referring to the content of the prayers, Herzog said, “Together with an enormous crowd, I prayed for the well-being of the State, the safety and dignity of the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces and the security forces, the physical and emotional recovery of the wounded, and for comfort and compassion for bereaved families.”

Calling for social unity, Herzog said, “After three years of war and heroism, it is now time to remember the things that bind us together and to recognize that we are all one unique people.”

Herzog concluded his statement with the words, “May the entire House of Israel be sealed for a good year.”
