IDF continues ground operations in southern Lebanon
Tel Aviv, April 3 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared operational details regarding the evacuation of wounded soldiers during ongoing ground operations in southern Lebanon, carried out via Unit 669 and Air Force helicopters.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement on medical evacuation operations conducted as part of the Northern Command’s efforts to expand the security zone in southern Lebanon.
Regarding how the evacuations are carried out and the activities of the units involved, the statement said: "First casualty inside, doors closed, entry made: Air Force helicopter crews and Unit 669 remain on constant alert and are deployed in real time to rescue the wounded quickly and safely and transport them to hospitals for medical treatment as soon as possible."
It was emphasized that Unit 669 personnel are tasked with providing first aid to forces in the field and facilitating the evacuation chain by linking up with helicopters.
Regarding the scope of the operations and their role in clashes with Hezbollah, the statement noted: "Evacuating the wounded is a mission of the highest moral order, and since the beginning of the campaign against the Hezbollah terrorist organization, dozens of evacuations have been carried out, including complex operations using helicopters that landed on Lebanese territory."
