Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Zelensky stated during the meeting that Egypt will no longer accept grain exported from Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia and instead aims to increase grain imports from Ukraine.

Zelensky also noted that Egypt expressed readiness to work toward achieving a “respectable peace” and announced that the foreign ministers of the two countries will remain in contact.

The meeting also addressed developments in the Middle East and the Gulf region and their impact on global oil markets. Zelensky provided information about Ukraine’s talks and agreements with countries in the region.

Zelensky stated that Ukraine has significant potential in defense-technical cooperation and noted that they are ready to work with Egypt in this field. It was also reported that other areas of cooperation between the two countries were discussed.
