Tel Aviv, April 6 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that Majid Khatem-Hosseini Khadami, head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organization, was eliminated during a nighttime operation in Tehran.
The IDF stated that a key figure was targeted in Iran’s capital as a result of coordinated efforts between the Air Force and the Intelligence Directorate.
In a statement detailing the operation, it said: "The Air Force, under precise intelligence guidance from the Intelligence Directorate, carried out a nighttime strike in Tehran and killed Majid Khatem-Hosseini Khadami, head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization."
The statement highlighted Khadami’s role and background within the regime, stating: "Khadami was one of the most important commanders of the IRGC and was appointed to this position following the killing of Mohammed Khatemi in Operation ‘Am Kalavi.’ During Operation ‘Harrier’s Roar,’ he was responsible for collecting intelligence and building an intelligence picture for the regime’s senior leadership."
The IDF emphasized the global impact of Khadami’s activities, stating: "Khadami worked to promote terrorist activities against the State of Israel and Jews worldwide, was involved in attempts to harm American targets, and was even responsible for monitoring Iranian citizens as part of the suppression of internal protests in Iran."
