Portugal announces its development cooperation priorities
Lisbon, April 6 (Hibya) – Portugal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that assessments on development cooperation were shared within the framework of multilateral priorities at the United Nations.
Portugal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that development cooperation was addressed as part of a video series prepared on multilateral priorities at the United Nations.
According to the ministry’s statement, Florbela Paraíba, President of the Portuguese Development Agency, shared her assessments in the episode titled “Portugal’s Cooperation: Sustaining Change Through Partnerships.”
The statement noted that Paraíba shared her views on Portugal’s approach to development cooperation as an important component of its international engagement.
The speech highlighted priorities such as strengthening partnerships, supporting peace, humanitarian development and capacity building, while emphasizing Portugal’s commitment to multilateralism and the contribution of its human-centered cooperation model to global action.
