During the visit, Herzog attended a memorial event marking the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the settlements and planted a tree in memory of his grandfather and father.
Herzog stated that the region “carries a strong heritage that tells the story of generations,” adding that the symbolic act represents continuity, roots, and hope.
