Lahbib: The EU calls for respect for international humanitarian law
Brussels, April 27 (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib spoke about the destruction of a school funded by the EU in the West Bank by Israeli settlers.
Hadja Lahbib called for compliance with international law.
Highlighting the violence in the region, Lahbib said: “Amid ongoing vandalism, theft and arson, Israeli settlers destroyed a school funded by the EU in the West Bank.”
Emphasizing the humanitarian dimension of the attack, Lahbib stated: “More than 40 children lost their right to education. The community was forced to flee fearing for their safety.”
Lahbib concluded: “The EU demands accountability and respect for international humanitarian law.”
