Rome, April 3 (Hibya) - Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced that they have extended fuel tax reductions to mitigate the effects of energy costs and international tensions on the economy, and expanded this support to include farmers and exporters.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni outlined the latest measures taken against the energy crisis and economic fluctuations with a new decree adopted by the Council of Ministers.
Referring to the government’s strategic intervention, Meloni said: "Today, the government issued a new decree to extend the reduction in fuel excise taxes and expanded this measure with a targeted intervention aimed at supporting farmers and exporting companies."
Highlighting the impact of global instability, Prime Minister Meloni stated: "This is a necessary measure to address a particularly sensitive period characterized by international tensions that have tangible effects on energy costs and the economy."
Emphasizing the sensitivity of the process, Meloni concluded her statement with the following words: "We know that the situation remains complex.
