Minister Mucunski said, "I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. He was a visionary leader who transformed Qatar, strengthened his country's voice in the region, and elevated its global standing. His legacy will live on."
Mucunski extended his condolences to the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Al Thani family, and the people of Qatar.
