Orban: Ukraine and the war in the Middle East are rapidly raising oil prices
Budapest, March 9 (Hibya) - Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced that he wrote a letter to the EU leadership calling for the suspension of sanctions imposed on the Russian energy sector due to rising oil prices caused by Ukraine’s oil blockade and the war in the Middle East.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban drew attention to the negative effects of global developments on energy markets and argued that the European Union should take action.
Orban said, "Ukraine’s oil blockade and the war in the Middle East are rapidly raising oil prices. Europe must act."
Stating that he wrote a letter to the EU, Orban said, "Today I wrote a letter to President Costa and Ursula von der Leyen calling for a review and suspension of sanctions imposed on the Russian energy sector."
