Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Varsin Aghabekian Shahin spoke by phone with Shaun Benfeldt, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to the State of Palestine.

According to a statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the call addressed ways to strengthen relations between the two countries and expand cooperation.

Shahin expressed her appreciation for South Africa's support for the State of Palestine and the rights of the Palestinian people.

The call also addressed the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly attacks on several villages in the northern West Bank and the increase in settler violence. Shahin called on the international community to take action in response to these developments.
