In Australia, the ASX 200 index rose 0.50 percent to 9,083.20 points. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 index gained 0.73 percent to reach 66,613.99 points.
In India, the Nifty 50 index rose 0.27 percent to 24,156.25 points, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index climbed 0.47 percent to 25,684.89 points.
In China, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.08 percent and stands at 3,959.639 points.
