Putin discussed the situation in Iran with Netanyahu and Pezeshkian
Moscow, January 16 (Hibya) - According to the Kremlin's press service, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in Iran related to the unrest in the country over the phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and later with Iranian President Mesud Pezeshkian.
According to the statement, during his conversation with Netanyahu, Putin called for a diplomatic solution to ensure stability and security in the region and emphasized that Russia is ready to mediate in this dialogue.
Putin and Netanyahu also agreed to continue their contacts.
Later, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov announced that the Russian leader had also spoken with Iranian President Mesud Pezeshkian and that the results of the meeting would be announced soon.
According to Peskov, Putin is making significant efforts to reduce tensions in the Middle East.
