Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi held a telephone conversation.

During the call, they discussed enhancing cooperation between the two countries and regional developments, while also reviewing the continuation of diplomatic efforts and coordination to reduce tensions.

Al Thani emphasized the importance of all parties remaining committed to dialogue and diplomacy, noting that ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz under the understanding reached between the United States and Iran is important for regional security and stability. Qatar was also said to support efforts to reduce tensions and reach a comprehensive agreement that would ensure lasting peace in the region.
