Qatar condemns Houthi attempt to target Medina
Doha, November 5 (Hibya) - Qatar condemned an attempt by Yemen's Houthis to target the Saudi Arabian city of Medina with a ballistic missile and reaffirmed its support for Saudi Arabia.
Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the attempt by Yemen's Houthis to attack the Saudi Arabian city of Medina with a ballistic missile. The ministry described the attempt as a blatant provocation against Muslims, a reckless disregard for civilian lives, a violation of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and a breach of international law.
Emphasizing Qatar's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, the ministry stated that it supports the legitimate measures the Kingdom may take to protect its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity and interests.
The statement stressed that Saudi Arabia's security is an integral part of the collective security of Qatar and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
