Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the importance of bringing together representatives of the EU, NATO and the United States at the upcoming meeting in Brussels on security guarantees.
Zelensky stressed that it must be clearly established which party would respond, when and by what means, in the event of another Russian attack. He called for clarity on these issues ahead of the talks scheduled for November 10–11 in the United Arab Emirates.
Addressing relations with the United States, Zelensky stated that Ukraine must adapt to the new political dynamics in Washington and strengthen bipartisan support. Emphasizing that Ukraine must continue to increase its defense capabilities as long as the war continues, Zelensky said that the $16 billion in US aid allocated to Ukraine under previous agreements and decisions, but not yet provided, should be brought back onto the agenda. He stressed that Ukraine must fight to secure these funds.
