U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted that the Trump administration has updated its travel advisory and said:
"Ensuring Americans are safe abroad is our top priority. President Nayib Bukele’s leadership has been crucial in enhancing his country’s security for foreign travelers. Gang activity, violent crime, and homicides in El Salvador have significantly decreased."
