Saidov met with German President Steinmeier
Tashkent, February 11 (Hibya) - Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Bahtiyor Saidov announced that he, along with his Central Asian counterparts, met with German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
During the meeting, the strengthening of the partnership between the parties and the development of regional cooperation were discussed.
Saidov stated in his announcement regarding the meeting, "Together with our colleagues from Central Asia, we had a productive meeting with the Federal President of Germany, Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier. We discussed strengthening our partnership and regional cooperation."
Saidov mentioned that he conveyed greetings and thanks to Steinmeier on behalf of Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, saying, "On behalf of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, I conveyed our heartfelt greetings and appreciation for Germany's unwavering support for Central Asia."
Saidov highlighted Germany's role in shaping the European Union's policy toward Central Asia, emphasizing the importance of initiatives such as the EU's Central Asia Strategy. He stated that bilateral relations continue to develop with concrete cooperation plans in areas such as green development, energy, and education.
In his statement, Saidov also said, "We are grateful for the warm welcome. I believe that Uzbekistan-Germany relations will continue with strong and positive momentum in all areas."
