Security measures increased in Islamabad
Islamabad, April 11 (Hibya) - A high-level delegation of US officials traveled to Islamabad for critical contacts with Iran. The talks are reported to aim at making the fragile ceasefire declared after the Middle East conflicts permanent.
According to CCTV reports, security measures in Islamabad were raised to the highest level ahead of the important meeting. Intensive military activity was observed across the capital on April 10 and 11, 2026.
Aircraft were seen conducting patrol flights over the city, while extensive security measures were implemented especially around the “Red Zone” where the meeting will take place. Roads leading to the area were closed to traffic, and entry and exit points were brought under control.
Security forces were heavily deployed in the area, with numerous armed soldiers stationed at critical points. In the “Red Zone,” where official buildings are located, both ground and air security were reinforced.
Officials stated that the measures were implemented to ensure the meeting is held safely.
