Sharif: Pakistan will continue to play a constructive role
Islamabad, Aug. 17 (Hibya) - Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a message of thanks for the support shown by United States President Donald Trump following the signing of the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for his statements of support for the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement, saying that his country, together with Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, would continue to contribute to regional stability.
Expressing appreciation for Trump's words of support, Sharif said: "I express my deep gratitude to President Donald Trump for his kind words of support on the occasion of the signing of the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement."
Highlighting the role of the trilateral alliance in regional defense, Prime Minister Sharif said: "Together with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Türkiye, Pakistan will continue to play a constructive role in ensuring the defense of both our countries and the entire region."
Referring to diplomatic efforts and leadership, Sharif said: "I would once again like to congratulate President Trump for his courageous and decisive leadership, which helped prevent a nuclear catastrophe in South Asia and save millions of lives."
Sharif concluded his message by saying: "Lasting peace is the most important prerequisite for a bright and prosperous future for our peoples."
