Stubb meets with Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar
Helsinki, March 5 (Hibya) – Finnish President Alexander Stubb met with India’s Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
Finnish President Alexander Stubb held a meeting with India’s Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. During the meeting, global security policies, regional conflicts and strategic cooperation were discussed in detail.
Commenting on the meeting, President Stubb said: “We discussed the current security policy environment, including the Middle East and Russia’s war in Ukraine, transatlantic relations and EU-India relations. Our shared view is that strengthening the EU-India partnership is a strategic choice covering many areas. Finland is ready to work for rapid implementation.”
Stubb also referred to the success of the Raisina Dialogue platform hosted by India, stating: “I congratulated Jaishankar on the success of the Raisina Dialogue. Raisina has become one of the world’s leading platforms for strategic thinking and global engagement.”
