Tajani: Exports to the US increased despite the impact of tariffs
Rome, February 17 (Hibya) - Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said that exports to the United States have increased despite the impact of customs tariffs.
Italian Foreign Minister Tajani stated that new foreign trade data from the Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) confirm that exports reached a value of 643 billion euros in 2025, marking a 3.3 percent increase compared to 2024.
Noting that exports to the United States increased despite the impact of tariffs, Tajani said, “We are ready to do more with the major trade, science and technology forum that we will organize in Miami in May.”
Tajani added that in 2026 they will continue their efforts to monitor foreign markets and engage with businesses through a series of events across Italy, from Northern to Central and Southern Italy, stating, “The government will always support our companies through growth diplomacy to create new development opportunities and continue to grow globally.”
