Trump blames sanctuary cities over missing migrant children
Washington, Aug. 3 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump claimed in a post about missing migrant children that local governments referred to as "sanctuary cities" are preventing authorities from locating the children.
U.S. President Donald Trump shared a chart on missing migrant children and made remarks on the issue.
In his post, Trump claimed that local governments known as "sanctuary cities" are preventing missing children from being found. He further alleged that these jurisdictions are making efforts to keep the children missing.
The post also included a chart said to be based on data from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. According to the chart, the number of missing migrant children who were found increased between February 2026 and July 2026, while the number of children still listed as missing declined.
